VIRTUAL REALITY TRAINING IS FUN

VIRTUAL REALITY TRAINING IS FUN

Let’s face it! Hearing an hour-long classroom presentation in school was our first time using our imagination in learning for most of us. Our visions for learning are powerful. We all remember taking our seats and listening to someone try to jam ‘boring’ information and facts into our heads.

At some point, the data dump would reach a limit where we gladly accepted our brain’s trigger to enter an immersive trip to the beach. This classroom drift was natural and our first attempt at an immersive journey to feel like we were somewhere else. Wouldn’t it be awesome if our new employees could take an immersive to the beach to learn? That idea would be a radical change from the mundane.

With that in mind, ‘why can’t learning be fun?’

toPointC believes that Virtual Reality training has arrived to put fun into employee learning. In this article, we will explore four reasons why onboarding and continually training your employees can help us use our childlike imagination to enhance our training.

1. QUICK LEARNING

toPointC’s Virtual Reality Training provides learners with an immersive environment where they can be turned from novices to experts more ‘swiftly, effectively, and smoothly than before (1).’

2. CHALLENGING

Virtual Reality Training with toPointC provides a challenging environment filled with many challenges based on the employee’s understanding of the topic. This learning approach differs from a traditional instructor going through a book or pdf in a classroom. Plus, our training provides the opportunity to dial up or down the intensity of the learning.

3. DEEPER UNDERSTANDING

Learning facts for a traditional test differs from being educated on a topic (2). VR Training provides an engaging and fun way to understand a learning topic deeply. For example, it’s one thing to think of Pickett’s Charge in the Civil War. It’s much deeper learning when you take an immersive trip to a real battlefield.

4. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

We all heard that ‘practice makes perfect.’ This repetition may be why researchers validate that Virtual Reality Training can be superior to traditional learning. Research has shown that repetition leads to perfecting techniques and ‘radically’ improves short and long-term retention.

Virtual Reality training can provide the dream when we were kids that we could repeat a learning activity until we understood the lesson. It can be debilitating to recieve a failing grade. What if we could present employees with a better way to explore different outcomes based on the learner’s actions and reactions (3)? This type of training model has arrived with toPointC. Welcome to the future of employee training.
